How to Download Aadhaar Card by Providing Aadhaar Number?

Aadhaar card is the most essential document in today’s time. By using the Aadhaar number, you can obtain your Aadhaar card online. Downloading Aadhaar card is an easy and simple process. All you have to do is to follow the below mentioned procedure for the same:

  1. Log in to the official website of UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) i.e. https://uidai.gov.in/
  2. Look for “Aadhaar Enrolment” under “Aadhaar Online Services”
  3. Click on “Download Aadhaar” under “Aadhaar Enrolment” and you will be redirected to https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/#/
  4. Provide Aadhaar Number, Full name, Pin code, enter Captcha code (from the image displayed on your screen), Enter OTP (One Time Password) which you have received on your registered mobile number
  5. Once you have provided all the above mentioned procedures, click on download
  6. The Aadhaar card will be downloaded in a PDF format
  7. You will need Adobe Reader in order to open the file
  8. And the file can be opened by entering PIN code as password

Once you can view your Aadhaar card, take a print copy of it and produce wherever required. The advantage of an e – Aadhaar card is that you don’t have to carry your Aadhaar card physically. And the card holders need not worry about the consequences of losing the card.

How to Download Aadhaar Card by Providing Enrolment ID?

At the time of receiving your Aadhaar card from UIDAI, you will be provided with an acknowledgement slip which contains your enrolment ID (EID) and time stamp. By using the EID and time stamp, you can download the Aadhaar card from the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI)’s official website. Follow the below mentioned steps for the same:

  1. Log in to the official website of UIDAI i.e. https://uidai.gov.in
  2. Look for “Aadhaar Enrolment” under “Aadhaar Online Services”
  3. Click on “Download Aadhaar” under “Aadhaar Enrolment” and you will be redirected to https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/#/
  4. Provide Enrolment ID, Full name, Pin code, enter Captcha code (from the image displayed on your screen), Enter OTP (One Time Password) which you have received on your registered mobile number
  5. Once you have provided all the above mentioned procedures, click on download
  6. The Aadhaar card will be downloaded in a PDF format

In case you lost your acknowledgement slip or the enrolment details, you can also retrieve your lost EID by following the below mentioned procedure:

  1. Visit https://uidai.gov.in
  2. Select “Retrieve Lost UID / EID” under Aadhaar online services section
  3. Once you select “Retrieve Lost UID / EID”, you will be directed to a page where you are required to provide some necessary details in order to retrieve your lost EID
  4. Enter your Full name, Email, Mobile, Security code and OTP (One Time Password) which is sent on your registered mobile phone number
  5. After OTP verification, you will be provided with your enrolment details.
